Two companies, SeeedStudio and BeagleBoard.org, collaborated and made joint efforts to create this board, aiming to develop an advanced version based on the hardware design of BeagleBone Black.
On the Green boards, there is no HDMI slot; instead, Grove connectors are used to simplify communication with Grove sensors, offering users easier and broader rapid prototyping. The 4GB flash memory and 8-bit eMMC make this board even more attractive. To power the board, a 5V power source or even a USB cable connecting it to a computer is sufficient.
Despite the changes made in the Green version compared to the Black version, the new board (Green) is fully compatible with the older version. With all these improvements, it still offers an affordable price, and if you need a BeagleBone for your project, don’t hesitate to buy the Seeed Studio BeagleBone® Green version. I’m confident you’ll enjoy working with this board.
