FAQ #

What modules are supported by the LTE Series (A) Evaluation Board?
+

Quectel EC200U-EU, EC200A-EU, EC25-EUX, MeiG SLM320E and SLM770A modules are fully supported on the same EVB platform with minor differences in antennas and features.

How to power the LTE Series (A) EVB?
+

You can power the board via USB-C (recommended) or through the 5V pin on the 14-pin header. Accepted voltage range is 4.5–5.5 V (typical 5 V).

Which modules support GNSS and Bluetooth?
+

GNSS and Bluetooth are available on EC200U-EU, EC25-EUX, and SLM320E variants. EC200A-EU and SLM770A do not include GNSS/BT.

How to turn on the LTE module?
+

Two ways:
• Place the J1 jumper cap → module powers on automatically when 5 V is applied.
• Remove J1 jumper and press the POWER KEY (SW3) button for ~1 second.

What are the LED indicators for?
+

D1 (NET MODE): Indicates current network technology (LTE/3G/2G)
D2 (NET STATUS): Shows registration status (blinking = searching, solid = registered)
D3 (STATUS): Module powered on (active-low)

Can I use an external cellular antenna?
+

Yes. The board has MAIN ANT (required) and DIV ANT (diversity, only on EC200A & SLM770A) U.FL connectors. You can also use the onboard SMD antenna on EC200U/EC25/SLM320E models for BT/Wi-Fi.

Is USB used only for power or also for data?
+

Both. The USB-C port provides power and exposes the module’s USB 2.0 device interface (AT commands, firmware upgrade, virtual COM ports). Keep J3 jumper installed for normal USB operation.

How to enter USB Boot / DFU mode for flashing?
+

Hold the SW1 (BOOT) button while powering the board (or press RESET while holding BOOT). The module will enter USB Download / DFU mode for QFlash or Quectel/MeiG upgrade tools.

What is the operating temperature range?
+

Normal operating: −35 °C to +75 °C
Extended range: −40 °C to +85 °C
Storage: −40 °C to +90 °C

What are the board dimensions?
+

Board size: 58.04 × 78.23 mm — compact and easy to integrate into final products.
