SIM card IC adapter from MFF2 package to smartcard reader or nano SIM card.
MFF2 (Machine Form Factor) SIM cards are a type of programmable IC also known as VQFN8 SIM or SON-8 SIM. Because these chips are extremely small, they must be soldered to a board for use and cannot be tested directly in a phone like regular SIM cards. That makes debugging and programming them somewhat difficult. This adapter solves that problem. Without soldering the chip, you can place it into a ZIF socket and access its pins.
How to use
After placing your SIM IC into the ZIF socket, you get a connector that you can either convert directly to a nano SIM using the orange flat cable, or connect to a smartcard reader adapter using the other flat (white) cable included with the product. You can better understand this from the product images.
